Spark plug boots
Spark plug boots
I just installed a pair of hooker headers on my 302, my problem is that the spark plug boot sticks too far off the plug itself, and sits right on the header. Has anyone had this problem? Which plug wires are you running on there now? or what did you use to solve your problem?
thanks
thanks
You can try to bend the boot , then put some boot protectors on the wires that are close to the headers , summit has them....i use the msd wires with the protectors on a few of the wires that are close to the headers.....Lew
these wires are laying on the header, pretty heavily. I dont think that a protector will protect this boot. Are you running headers with your MSD wires? I need to find a different set that doesnt stick off the spark plug so far.
Ive been running 90 degree boots with my headers. MSD super conductors now, I was using Accel super stocks. If its still that tight with 90 degree boots you may need to run the Accel shorty header plugs. But they are expensive, especially if you are running GT40P heads, they are $12 each for the Ps. You can get 8 for 30 with most other heads.
