cracked block???
I noticed water under my truck a few weeks ago which I assumed came from the overflow bottle. The truck's temperature would go up to over 220 at stop lights; when I check the water it was pretty low I added two gallons of antifreeze/water. Problem solved...so I thought. last I checked the water level and was low a gallon after adding the antifreeze/water I noticed a small puddle on the floor which wasn't there before. I check from the top and it appears the water is coming from the driver side close to the head. I'm thinking it may be the intake manifold gasket leaking. Would there be symptoms if the block was cracked, the truck starts and run great doesn't over heat and I don't see water spraying or coming out when the engine is running. I haven't gotten under the truck for a detail inspection, it's really low I need to get it on a lift which I hope to do this weekend.

Agreed. Could also be a head gasket too.
Cracked blocks on modern OHV motors seem to be rather rare, but it does happen.(although from what I've heard it seems to be surprisingly common on the ole flatheads...)
