batteries

Hey fellas, Im back again I need to know a few things.First how would I tell If I have a bad battery? Im geting spark and all my wires on both starter relys are lighting up on test light. When I jump the starter the motor spins so im clueless at the moment. when the motor on the starter spins truck dose not turn over. Any tip would be appriciated.

If the starter spins but the truck doesnt turn over then the starter is bad. It should stick out to contact the flywheel when it starts.

really even on a 84 6.9 this really blows I think, so if i pull it off and jump it it should pop out then spin correct?

The teeth on the starter could be stripped.

It depends on where you are jumping the starter, you have to jump through the solenoid or the starter will spin without engaging the bendix.
