Moog cc844 swap question

Ok guys, I know lots of folks on here have done this, and i've got a hot deal on these springs(Moog cc844) but something is holding me back. That something is the ride quality. I know it won't float like a cloud, but I can't be stuck driving a steel wheel tractor all day either. I just don't want to have shaken driver syndrome from 2inches of lift and a little more frontal support on my truck . So, please, convince me to get these springs I've almost got myself convinced, but I need a little more.
Thanks for your peer pressu-- I mean help! Yeah, thanks for your help!

I put cc844s on my truck. I have a slight camber issue which has been noted before, but it doesn't seem to be an issue with the cc844. I put them on for my plow. To do it over again the cc 844 would have been the right choice. As to the ride...... it's "firm" but makes the truck handle well. Going to the dump on the washboard road you certainly feel it but it did with my old springs too. I would do it again and I'm thinking I might change my cc844s to the cc844 just to get the camber right on again.

It's an issue with that spring that it gets in the way of the camber adjustment because of its physical size and design on the cc844s. The truck is level now and I have a sagging leaf on the driver rear so have to get to that one of these days.

I'm not extremely concerned with alignment. I know more people have done it and not had any issues there. And i'm also due for new ball joints and tires so I'm trying to do it all at one time. And I'm starting to think that yeah, the ride may be a little rougher, but that the real factor would be shocks

Ok, after pouring over some old threads and doing some comparisons between different springs/applications/price I think i'm going to jump on the moogs. I use my truck to haul a lot, not crazy heavy stuff, but enough that I think a firmer front end would feel better with a load of hay on the highway. Yet, at the same time, it is a really nice truck (no rust, clean interior). And these are way cheaper than lift coils. So, I guess I am going to go for it! I'll see about taking some pics and posting them

Good choice. I can't see why people would do anything else for a leveling kit. The ride on these is much better then ANY lift companies springs I've ever had.

That's what i was wondering about. I want just a smidge of lift in the front because i already have 6 leaf springs that raised up the back of the truck and to have a little bit bigger tires on my new(to me) 16" rims. But the lift springs always struck me as weaker and if you hit a big bump or something they could bottom out like my current springs and then rub your tires. So hopefully i'll have the moog 844 springs in this weekend sometime

I'll suggest you won't have an issue of the 844's bottoming out.......... It's an easy swap as well. (no spring compressors needed)

Well, I could do it myself, but seeing as ball joint replacements are a bit trickier, I'll just have my mechanic do them while he has it on the lift.
Thanks again for the help!

Well shouldn't cost much more since 90% of the work is done getting to the ball joints. Literally 2 bolts on each coil

Update: Finally got my truck back today, rides very well, way better than I had expected. A little rougher maybe, but nothing like trucks of our vintage with leaf springs up front. With the new ball joints there is a slight positive(?) camber, but you have to look real hard to see it. So for right now i'm content to drive it for a little while with the old tires (worthless anyway) until I get new ones. When I do that i'll also spring for an alignment. Any ideas on what that would run? I've seen where people are charged these crazy prices. I'm not even sure if it would be considered 'hard' to align it.

Well...I was rather stupid and forgot to take a 'before' pic so an 'after' pic won't do much good
