03 7.3 HELP!!!
hey guys! my dads work truck is a 2003 7.3 PSD with 90000mi, when he is pulling a trailer we hear a griding noise coming from the engine but it only happens when your accelerating litely between 65-70mph. It sounds like the engine is gonna explode!! please help!!!!!

Some things to look at...
Idler pullies and tensioners on belt system
have you ever greased the slip yoke?
Carrier bearing on drive shaft, it really sounds like its up front.
Wheel bearings, have you ever greased them? If not, jack up each front tire and see if there is play grabbing the tire at 12/6 oclock, and 3/ 9 oclock.
Edit, also, the fan clutch
