Any pics of 53-55 extended cabs????

Yes I know Ford didn't make a 53-55 extended cab. But I'm looking for some pictures of some. I've never really been a fan of the ones I've seen in the past. But I've got some extra room to work with on my frame and some extra room in the cab would be nice.

And yes I did try to search but came up empty.

Didn't they make an ultra rare crew cab for the government or something? Thought I remember seeing a post on that recently with one found...

I have more of a crew cab that I do extended, but I do have a few extended, turns out I seem to save just about everything, lol

I'll see if I can find anymore

Thank you!

I don't think Ford made them. I believe it was an aftermarket contractor. Kind of like the 4x4 conversions.

No comment on the big truck!

That F100 pic is the kind of picture I was looking for. I'm pretty sure that one had the top chopped too.

I think I'm going to give that a shot on mine ( without the chopped top ) . A 1954 F100 extended cab short box 4x4 should work out great for my year round daily driver.

Fordman,

If I can help you in anyway let me know. I know the gentleman who built this truck. We are friends. He lives near me. Here is a pic from a Music City F100 Club get together in 2005

You will see Mark's green 55 on the far end. It does have a 2 inch chop top to make it dimensionally look better.

Here is another extended except it has two rear opening doors. I have been to this guys shop in Alabama. It is a 56 but I still think it is doable on a slant cab.

Thanks for the offer. Your friend does some really nice work! I have a good idea on how I want to try to do it. But I'm sure I'll have some questions when I tear into it. I do know I won't be chopping the top! The glass is expensive enough for me without trying to cut down the windshield.

I can't see that 56. I don't know what the issue is but my browser refuses to open the Custom Classic trucks website. All I get is the background colors.

Mine won't be anywhere near as nice as either of those. But it will be functional.
