Parking Brake and Equalizer Bar

1972 f100, 302, 3speed

I was missing the equalizer bar and rod for my parking brake assembly, got the parts and when i went to put them in it looks like im a foot or so short from the rear brake cables....the equalizer rod is 12in....am i missing something or can i just make a longer bar for it?...the cables look like their in the right place waiting to be attached to the equalizer bar.....thanks for any suggestions

What vehicle did you get the parts from?

C6AZ-2A602-A .. Parking Brake Equalizer / Obsolete

Applications: 1968/72 F100/350 / 1968/79 Bronco / 1969/74 Econoline / 1966 Galaxie/LTD.

B7A-2628-B .. Parking Brake Equalizer Rod / 12" long / Cut to fit from thread end / Obsolete

Applications ~ Myriad 1957/79: F100/350's, Passenger Cars, Econolines & Bronco's.

Both of these parts can be found NOS at FoMoCo Dealers/obsolete parts vendors.
