FORD F-250 Brake pedal sucked!
Hello,
In my last post I had starting problems. The reason being was one red and green wire was in the wrong place. So like in the title says the truck starts for now.
It seems like ever since I got the truck to start more and more problems keep popping up. Here is a short list of what's wrong.
Brake lights out- not a big deal
Blinkers don't work-not a big deal
windshield whippers motor is dead-not a big deal
windows don't go up or down-not a big deal
Now... When I turn my truck on the brake pad goes to the floor. If I cap the hoes then the ped works but is hard to push down. My question is can a split diaphram in the booster be the problem? Have any of you had this problem on a FORD F-250?
Do you think the small leek could be sucking the brake pedal to the floor?
Brake line has small leek near rear tire
One brake pad is stuck

I had that occur on my F250, need a new booster. Its a bad release valve inside the booster. You can try putting a block of wood behind the pedal and start the engine to see if it frees it up, But best to replace it.
It makes for one heck of a anti theift device with brakes stuck fully on!

Ya, let them start it up and try driving with a stuck brake pedal!! Love to see the looks on the crooks face. My friend had one of those brake pedal locks on his camero(can't press down on brake type), Well, them crooks did start the car and found out it had no brakes and wrapped it around a light pole to stop. I have not seen one of those "anti-theft" things since then. Years later and few law suits, he got a new camero.

Hope this helps:
Also if you look at my brake booster, I have a fitting that you don't have on your hose for the booster. Time for a trip to the scrap yard I think?

I made that at my last job, where I made large vinyl signs for tractor-trailers the company owned.
Right after I got this truck I couldn't believe how damn big it was so I named her "Beast". I reversed it so people in front could read it as I came up on them at stop signs and filled their back window with only a view of her grill LOL
