If i found a 1994-95 cluster set from a 94-95 lightning, would it work in my 1995 f150 with 4.9l? i want something that shows a little more speed and has a tach in it. But not sure if it would work right with my motor or if the spindle in the speedometer would read correctly due to the change from 90 cap to 120 cap on the speedo.
With the cluster's being the same years, it should be bolt in. As for the 90 and 120 on the speedo heads, I don't think you will have a problem there as the PSOM handles how the speedo shows MPH. You may have to reprogram the PSOM for your tire size unless both trucks have the same tire size on them.
The tach should be correct as the wire harness in your truck tells it what engine you have by ground the 6/8 cyl pin of the tach.
Now i have to look for a 94 to 95 lightning that has parts i can use. With my truck now i hit 90 and can keep going for quite a bit but i can never tell how fast i am going.
