There are many options you can do. Do a quick search and you will find many options. I believe one was done a couple of years ago that used a mustang gas tank.

there are stock and aftermarket under bed tanks that you could use. but you would not be able to use the in bed take and put it under the bed. i have seen people take the in cab tank and put it in the front of the bed but that does not sound like a good idea to me. but i would look for a truck in a junk yard there are a bunch of these trucks with tanks under the bed already. dont try to reinvent the wheel...

tank upgrade

I did one in my F100 and it was cake.
I used an '87 blazer (full size) tank.
Here is the link to the article I followed and the hardest part was removing the stock rivets.

I need to update my build, I have done alot
My friend owns "justgastanksdotcom and he got me the tank, straps, and sending unit.
Follow along, it works great

i love mine, would never get rid of it. but i always end up having to fill it slow or i get less gas or it spits out before the handle turns off. also if the fumes get out some dont like the smell, to me it just means i have a full tank and am ready to run!!

The 25 gallon camper special fits under the truck and fills from the side of the bed. Big Al's looks like the bomb.

are you going to change the seat out? all the seats i have had in my old 2dr would hit the window/back of the cab before hitting the gas tank. its so thin and is tucked way back just not sure if it is going to get you any more room...
