Is that the stock trans and conv. with 249,ooo miles. The cov. doesn't really lock up till between 30 to 35 mph. If you towing its going to get hot below those speeds. Trans gauge is a must. Chet
I would love some more info on this. I have a 2000 with 253000 miles tranny still all original. I was just hauling 9000lbs today and my tranny just wanted to climb to 230degs. I was just driving 60mphs up and down hills. It was also 95deg here. Is this my converter too? I was looking to add an additional cooler and deep fin pan? Thanks
Yes I have a manual temp gauge. But I think my sensor is bad. Gauge reads about 200 degrees all the time. No it is not stock trans or convertor. It has aftermarket valve bodies so it shifts hard. In every gear. But after overdrive lock up it feels like it slips I'm on my third torque convertor. They were all warranty after a rebuild so idk what brand they are
