Cooling issue.

Cooling issue.
On my 04 PSD I have been having some cooling issue. On the highway it runs 192 but when I get off the interstate it shoots up to 204 and doesn't come down for a while. Earlier this year I had studs put in and also did a flush and new thermostate. This problem has started recently. Could this be a bad stat or water pump going out?

couldnt hurt to slam a new thermistate in it and see what happens are the fins clear in the radiator
hows ECT vs EOT did you do anything with the oil cooler when you did the work
mine usualy runs cooler when I get off the interstate too

The radiator is nice and clean. When going down the interstate ECT 192 and EOT is 201-202. After a long run on the highway when stopped the temps are ECT 192 and EOT 195. When I had the work done I put in a new oil cooler and installed a coolant filter. One thing I did though was did the flush after the engine work.
