Drive her a few more weeks at night and see if your opinion is the same.

Congratulations, John! It's a great looking truck!
I'd normally suggest spending some time in the tech folder to get to know some of the specifics, but I'm sure you did that months ago. For the most part these new engines seem to be doing much better than the previous Navistar engines did at launch. When I got mine I sort of missed the chaotic idle noise, but I grew to really love the refinement!

Congrats on the new truck! So you find the new headlights to be superior to the 05? That is unreal since everybody I have talked to thinks they are far less adequate. I even had a set of Eagle Eyes Harley Edition lights in my 06 with the infamous annoying bright spot in the right light and I still don't like the lights on the 11.

That aside, I'm loving this truck!!!

Thank you!
To be honest, I was torn between the two. One truck I was looking at was solid White Platinum and looked great. It had the chrome package and black leather. Then I found this one and loved it. I like the two-tone combination with the Adobe on the bottom / fender flares. When it came down to it, my truck had the options I wanted whereas the solid colored truck had a few I didn't care for and lacked some I wanted.
That said, If I'd found what I wanted in the White Platinum two-tone, I'd have bought it. I really like both colors. The only thing that concerned me was the potential difficulty of matching the White Platinum if (God forbid) the truck got damaged. The only other downside to the White Platinum is that it's a $495 option, but compared to the prices of these trucks, it's just a drop in the bucket.
As far as the 250 / 350 goes, I had a 250 prior to this and loved it. But, this 350 rides better than it did and has a higher "rated" capacity. Since we're looking at a potential fifth wheel purchase in the next couple of years, I went ahead and bought a 350 this time.
