May have missed it.....Were you in manual mode during the pull?

Congrats, great job. Nice seats, BTW.

Go to your album, click the picture you want to post in your thread, when the picture opens there will be a box directly below the picture that says "picture URL" click once on the url in that box, that should highlight all the characters, (mine highlight blue). right click the highlight and select "copy", then right click in the message box of your post and select paste. That is how I do it anyway.

I usually do this in 2 browser windows, one for the post and the other for the pictures.

I tried Auto/ 4x4 Low the first pull that i turned down.
I came back and did better in manual the second time/ 4x4 low.
Manual mode was alot better cause of the gear control, as the truck got further down the track i was able to down shift and keep the power going. However in auto it did rather really well but i turned down the first pull and came back cause i just wanted to play with it in manual mode to see what it could do........ Brian

Awesome man. Was it a class for dualies only? I always manually lock the front hubs. The 2011 might be different but one time I backed up to hook, and the locks disengaged, then I went to start pulling and the rears spun like crazy and I stopped in the first 5 feet or so.

I also now will pull the rear differential lock button out.

If you want to do it again try all that and also drop the pressure in your front tires by about 15-20 psi.

I have pulled about 5 times with this truck, won 2 finished 2nd twice and got 3rd or 4th another time. Both times I finished 2nd it was to HIGHLY modified Fords. I have made a lot of guys driving Chevy and Dodge feel real stupid.

I will answer your question - unless you have a bunch of extra money, I would not do it. $60k truck? Alot can go wrong.

I'll probably regret this but here goes:
1992 F150 pulled about 10 times over 7 years (sold @ 80K miles running good)

1999 F250 pulled at 5 weeks old, only got to pull it 4 or 5 times (traded at 40K miles running good)

2002 F250 pulled at 3 weeks old, pulled over 15 times in 8 years (sold at 142K miles running better than brand new)

2011 pulled at less than 3 weeks old, pulled 5 times in one year

More can and does go wrong pulling heavy loads down the highway, working pushing snow plows, working on the farm, pulling stumps, and of course playing in the mud/sand .... just stating some real world history of over 19 years and four trucks.

I hear man I wouldn't pull a brand new truck, I say why the heck not. If it breaks then there was something wrong with it and its under warranty. And no I've never broken a single thing. And yes they would cover anything that breaks that was wrong with the truck, if I "do stupid" and l keep hammering it when it bounces then it's my fault anyway, sorta like not stopping when approaching a brick wall or edge of a lake.
