79 Fullsize Bronco
I have just replaced my head gaskets and have it all together now, went for test drive, drives good, but when coming to a stop it rides really rough, like its going to die on me, but if I put it in park or neutral it will idle fine, can smell gas to? Any input would help me alot..

Honestly it sounds like you need some carb adjustments. A rich condition if you can smell raw fuel or worse a leak near or at the carburetor.

When was the last time you rebuilt the carburetor? It may just need some TLC. Look around for a leaky fuel line, clogged fuel filter and check for fuel line cracks & loose connections. None of the above have problems? Pull the carburetor and put a rebuild kit into it. They're not much $$, just time consuming.
