I read a bunch of threads on FICM repairs, but I didn't see where anyone covered this.
Has anyone been able to remove the circuit board from the bottom of the case?
The part where the 3 plugs plug into it?
I am waiting for parts for my hg & egr job, so I figured I'd pull my FICM and check if the repair was needed. I have the 7 pin version, and one of the pins itself is loose on the bottom board, but it seems like it's not gong to be easy to get it apart.
Any suggestions?
I read them all, which led me to disassemble mine. But I don't see where anyone mentioned separating the circuit board from the case on the logic side of the FICM. All of the instructions are related to the power side, which comes apart easily.
Unfortunately I have to screw with that side. One of the seven posts is loose, and it attaches with a screw from the bottom of that logic board. I have to get the circuit board separated from the bottom case to get to the screw - or buy a new FICM.
I'm OK working with electronics, just didn't know if anyone was able to get that side apart.
