I just went out to look at my turbo and exhaust, so I stand corrected..... I have a stock down pipe to a $inch after market exhaust, NOT a TB 4inch system
03's have the bad **** turbo whistle others don't , early 04's had 03 motors . Does yours have the catlitic convertor still in place? They don't get loud till the cats gone.
Mine has a really awesome whistle to it, so how do i tell if it has an 03 motor? I mean I can prominatley hear the whistle when hitting the gas, and went it blows off after letting off the gas
There is a sticker on passenger side valve cover that has horse power and torque ratings and i think build date. But if you got that loud whistle probably 03
Checked the motor, and found the valve cover, it is an 04 motor, I think the guy who had it before me did an egr delete, states that the motor has 325 hp stock, and 560 ftlbs torque. This truc has a K+N air filter also.
I was told that if it has a glass pack, which I think it does, it wont be much louder, and I checked for that CAT, and I dont see anything on the pipe, not even at the turn of the pipe.
