sluggish take off ???
I just bought a bone stock 97 F250 supercab 4x4 w/ PSD & auto.trans.175k miles It seems to be a bit sluggish on takeoff but runs out pretty good once you get past 40 mph. Gets about 16 mpg. Wondering if this is normal or if I should check something out. I had a the equivalent in a 2000 model that I KNOW was stronger but I know they are different critters. Any suggestions?

Great starting place, 6637 intake from clay at riffraff, new downpipe, and a cat delete. Then some gauges and a chip and it will be a different truck. I run a 3-4 inch downpipe with no cat or muffler, just 4" straight pipe exiting in front of rear tire.
