90 5.0 exhuast

are the collectors the same size on both driver and pass side of stock manifolds? i noticed the pipe size is different. im looking to build a none catted y pipe. thanks

no, are same size for exhaust balance, however, I do recomend a crossover pipe (H-pipe) to help torque in balance of exhaust flow.

i was just confused cuase on my stock y pipe. the passenger side is looks alot smaller then the drivers side where they meet in the y and into i guess the first cat.

odds & ends mustang

take it from me, in '82 i built a friends mustang GT 302 ! then i bought it off him. it ran 11.70's w/street tires in 1/4 mile w/3.89 currie rear when i was done ! yes, the T-TOPS flexed alot ! lol

im just asking cuase im building a y pipe for it and i need to get a magnaflow merge collector..and i need know what size inlet i need.

do u have a tape messure ? if just a repair, go to advance or autozone and buy a connector to weld in.

yeah i got a tape measure lol...basically what im wanting to know...if i take off my y pipe now both exhuast manifolds should be the same size correct? probly 2 1/4in.

im just wanting it louder cuase right now its got one cat gone and no muffler out the rear and its quit.
