Crazy Electronic Door Locks

My 1999 Crew Cab Superduty has crazy door locks. Sometimes they all open and close correctlly. Sometimes 2 out of 4 work, 1 out of 4. They seem to work when the weather is cool the first time always. I was about to replace the lock actuators at $44 each. I WD40 them. Until I find the root cause of what going on I am not doing anything. Is it a bad switch? Is there one bad actuator causing others to act up? Is there a electrical problem? Are they all slowly dying?

Mine on my '99 CC used to do that also, and when I get my new speakers installed, the installer said that my lock buttons were rubbing. He relieved them (the holes that the buttons come through, I guess) and they worked fine for quite some time. I did eventually get the actuators replaced. I do not have the truck now, so I don't know if that cured the problem for good.
