Hello FTE..I'm BJ, nice to meet you! I have a 77 F250 restore project I am taking on. Cliff notes back round on the vechile.. This is my wife dad's truck. He died shortly after she was born. The truck has been passed down through her brothers over the years running & not. It is now ours and of course not running. Last I heard it ran in 93. It has lots of sentimental value to her & the rest of the family. It will be my first project truck. I will post pics & vin later. I am hoping with your knowledge & experiance we all will be able to get this truck back to the glory it once had.
Welcome. 2WD or 4WD? I have a 77 F250 4x4 that belonged to my dad that took me a couple years to rebuild. It's was more than worth it in the end. Good Luck!!
Too both you newer guys welcome to FTE and FYI, it has a regional section (way at the bottom of the forum list) check out your individual state chapters.
Its a great way to meet fellow FTR'ers in your state and get help on locating parts and maybe even a helping hand installing them.
I have a few guys #'s on my cell that a hour away, but always willing to lend a hand or give me free advice.
Hi BJ ~ Sentiment goes a long ways in these old horses! My old 74 F250 custom (bought new) still is in the garage & I'll never part wth it even tho my wife says we are short of room with the other three supercabs I have! Still working on trying to get her to see reason! LOL. You do need 25 posts to put up attachments (I think) but you could take a photo and upload it as your thumbnail for now. It would give a small look anyway.
