I'm looking to wire a truck-side, 7-pin flat plug to use the battery on my travel trailer to power the running/tail lights. I saw one on a recent camping trip, called the Plug-N-Light Plug-n-Light 5th Wheel Accessories
My guess is it jumps pins 3 & 4 (12v to Tail Lights). If I do that with my own plug, do I need to put a resistor in the mix? If so, how big?

Just a question but whats the reasoning to use the TT battery to power its running/tail lights.

From a practical standpoint, it can come in handy if you have to leave your TT on the side of the road for any reason, it can sit there with the running lights on and be more visible at night.
At the campground a few weeks ago, the guy had his plugged in and lit up the whole weekend. I just liked it. With the TT plugged into electric, the battery charger does what it does, so the battery doesn't die..
In the event you left your trailer on the side of the road, why not add a simple flasher relay to the pins? It could just as easily be plugged in, pretty cheap too.

Thanks, as far as just having the lights on...I would just put a "jumper" wire between the pins, no resistor especially if it is only temporary. Maybe I'm just a tight*** but seems like alot to pay when I can do the same with a heavy duty flasher or a piece of wire for a few $. Great offer though Richard, reps have to be spread around I guess.
