wheels with 0mm offset what size tire?
Im looking at getting some ion 165 wheels they are 17x8 with 0mm offset. My question is how big of a tire can i fit with that offset. I have an 06 f150 4x4 with a leveling kit. I read that you can fit 315-70-17 on stock wheels with a level, but stock wheels are +44 mm offset so i didnt know how a 0mm offset would affect that. Minimal trimming is ok but I dont want to go at it with a sawzall. thanks for the help.

Wheel Offset Calculator
Pretty sweet little tool there.
Basically, the same size tire on the same width wheel, will stick out about 1.75" from where the current tire sits.
Taking that into consideration, a +0mm offset will push your wheel/tire combo further from the hub, thus reducing the amount of width you can run without rubbing. They'll be fine in a straight line, but when turning, a 315 width is likely to rub everything you've got as the outer edge of the tire is now that much further from the hub. With +0mm you may have to dial it back to a 295

I wouldn't trust retreads for as far as I could thrown them. I'm a firm believer in spending proper $$$ on tires and safety equipment and skimping somewhere else...like in what type of beer I drink.
I don't cheap out when lives are at stack.
I know some people here have used them, and they'd probably be fine for occasional use and/or farm use. But not on my daily driver.
Check TireRack.com or Discounttire.com for deals on your size
