Clutch question

I think I need to replace the clutch in my recently acquired F250. Trans does nto shift as smoothly as I think it should, and when you put truck in reverse, it grinds, even wiht clutch to floor, and it bucks.

The truck has a 1984 351W in it. What clutch/pressure plate do I need?

Have you tried adjusting the clutch?

Thanks. I am going to work on that tomorrow first. Also, I read on the forum that some folks improved the shifting when they put in Coastal 75W-90 gear oil. I'll try that as well. How much gear oil does the NP-435 hold?

Clutch is adjusted and replaced gear oil with 75/90 Synchro-Mesh. What a difference in shifting. Still get a little chatter starting out in 1st (which is really 2nd) but once underway, truck shifts so much better!
