Transmission

Afternoon all. My 97 F150 with 185,000 and the 4R70W 4 speed auto transmission starts to shake like I'm running over speed bumps while I'm driving down the street. It usually happens around 35 MPH it happens, but not all the time. It seems to shift fine, and this truck is in very good shape. Then engine is strong, and I don't think it's the engine since the tach is smooth.

The trans fluid is bright red, any ideas???

i am having exactly the same problem and my i have babied my truck for years. Going to have fluid and filter change Monday. just hard to believe it is Transmission, never had any problems with this truck, only 77,000 miles. Any suggestions.. Help!

Does it exibit this at light throttle applications then clears if downshifted and rpm rises at greater throttle openings?

If I hold the throttle very light at around 20-30 mpr its really noticable..

I would suspect a coil fault if other items have been ruled out.
The use of a Scanner to trap the fault in real time would be very helpfull.
