I think my PCM is going bad, but I read somewhere the dealer can flash reprogram it to change the specs on older vehicles especially with higher miles, kinda like an upgrade on your personal computer, I've never heard of it before but read an article about it yesterday. My codes for my OSS and VSS sensors keep coming up. New sensors in both and followed wires all the way to PCM connector have continuity and grounds are good. Truck starts, idles in park, put it in R or D it idles and stalls (engine light comes on and Overdrive light flashes) I have checked and rechecked those sensors
Yes they can be flash programed, but that will not fix your problem! It soundslike you have deeper (in the transmission) issues than that, what is your truck? And when did this start what does it act like when it stalls? Slowly loses rpm, sputters to a stop, quits like it's loaded up abruptly?
