I'm about to replace the TRE at the Pitman arm for the second time, this one at 121K. Are these vehicles just hard on that particular TRE? Is it worth the $400 it would cost me to replace them all, as well as the sway bar links? How about the track bar links?
I can't tell that the other ends are worn, but I suppose they could be.
I think they were causing the irregular wear pattern. I've never tried the Track bar links. You'll need a puller and a half day to do the job (or 3 beers if you measure that way).
Cheap ball joint press from Northern Tool or Harbor Freight will do the trick on the track bar bushings.......use energy polyurethanes ......
3 beers in a half day ???? No wonder you can get so much done !!.....half day for me on a job like that is at least 6 !

Alleged Moog.....funny.........Moog is not the end all best part....most Moog branded suspension parts are made in Mexico and Moog automotive is owned by Federal Mogul.....they are good parts but there are other good parts out there.....I get good service from TRW parts
Yeah, I figure the best I can hope for is a slightly better grade of cheap Chinese junk. At least the one I bought was a good bit thicker than the low end Chinese junk that was half the price. I've had a good experience with my Raybestos brake rotors, so will likely order their "professional" stuff from Rockauto if I need to do the rest.
