I have a 1994.5 f250 Five speed with a new southbend clutch
Only mods are
Intake (big filter )
3" exhaust off turbo and elimited the cadilitic converter
I used to have an Edge module but sold it
I tow a 5000lb camper 200 miles twice a month and without the Edge it is slower out of the hole and I have to downshift more
I want to keep my truck reliable and only want help on the towing issue
I've read a bunch on DP and TW but don't know if a tuner boud be better than a chip
thanks the the replys to come
Jim
Most of us here use a chip, over a programmer, not to mention most of us use a muti-position chip. Programmers are good, but I havent seen one that is better than a chip that has custom burned tunes to your specific truck.
If you go to DP's website, they can just burn one program onto your pcm for towing if that is all you want for a real good price. Send them an email if you wish. Or a custom chip is your best option like mentioned if you want more tunes. You should have a pyro to watch your egt's though.Diesel tuning products for Ford PowerStroke
