Upon further inspection, I am not sure that I have lost any coolant. It was a tad below the min line. I am wondering if this could be due to the leveling kit I installed though and now the coolant would be shifted back in the bottle causing it to look like it actually has less in it. At any rate, I added just a bit, maybe one cup or so to get it to the bottom of the min line. This eased my mind. Now I just need to order my parts for the oil cooler replacement.
By the way, the Scangauge did not pick up the code. I think it has something to do with the type of code it was. I read on here that they don't pick up wrench light codes but do read CEL codes. Maybe I am wrong though. If you figure it out, please let me know. Thanks for all the help guys!
The coolant level in my truck, and a lot of 6.0s, will settle in about 1" - 1.5" below the FULL mark on the degas bottle.
If I fill mine up to the mark, it'll work its way back down to about 1.25" below the mark on the bottle after a day of driving. I've marked that spot with a Sharpie and it doesn't deviate - it's about 1.25" below the factory mark on the bottle.
Not saying you don't have a leak, but it more than likely won't stay at the FULL level as indicated on the degas bottle when there are no leaks in the system.
