Compression tester

Im looking at a compression test kit. What size fitting do I need for the glow plug.
Most kits I have seen have a M10xM1.25. Is this the right size. ??

No those will not work the glow plugs are M10x1.0 snap-on makes the best one I've found yet you can screw it in without interference from rockers as as the hose is integral to the tip pricey at 100.00usd I don't know what that relates to in bills with the Queen on them but here it's worth it just to loose the hassle. Good luck!

Is that the price for just the hose? I have found the adaptor w/ integral hose for $23.95, but may have to change the male plug to work with my coupler. The picture of it wasn't detailed enough to tell. I have access to a hydraulic hose press and change out the end to 1/8" NPT and use one of the plugs in my kit.

Brian,

Have you got an old glow plug? Cory (Ziggy) made an adapter out of an old glow plug. I followed suit. Was pretty simple. Removed the heating element, then ground the corners off the hex and used a 1/8" NPT female tap to cut the threads. It will screw right into a standard grease gun hose.

That first one will work paysonpsd's got a good idea its the same thing, the one I'm talking bought is the 7.3 specific adaptor it has the hose integral and is o-ringed at the tip, with a connecter 10" up the hose.
