Engine code question

I just pulled the van out of storage since november, it took a bit of cranking but started right up and ran on idle for 10 mins. It was running good and all I did was put it in gear and move it a 100 feet on idle and then all of a sudden it started to knock and will barely idle and has no power at all. I put a code reader on and got two codes p-1316 inject circuit and/ or idm code detected and the code p0475 exhaust pressure control valve malfunction. It was down a couple litres of oil so I topped it up and bled the fuel system for a bit, but you have to cranck it a whole pile now to get her to start. I did add 5 gallons of fresh diesel to it. Any ideas?

Any other ideas?

Could it be the idm? I have a 02 7.3 could I swap it with the van or are they the same to try it?

It's possible its the IDM and since you have one its a free shot, it will work. By the description its likely that you either lost fuel pressure or the UVCH is loose, the 1316 code just means that the IDM has a code stored most scanners will display the actual code when a buzz test or KOEO test is performed.

I took the dog house off tonight and I have a itp fuel kit with a regulator and I believe when key is on not cranking it says around 60 psi. Two questions please what is the uvch and the koeo is that key on engine off? Also the scanner is just a edge programmer when I plugged it in tonight I tried to clear the two code but they would keep popping back up. What could cause fuel pressure lost? Thank you

The UVCH is what was referenced earlier, it is the Under Valve Cover Harness, a 9 pin connector that goes through the valve cover and is known to work loose, ford even sells little clips to fix it, most here grind down a quarter, yes the KOEO is Key On Engine Off self test, in which my snap on scanner will display the IDM codes that are stored, if I just pull memory codes it says 1316, not the specific code.

Here's a link to the UVCH issue, https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/2...or-wiring.html

Here's another good thread too, https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/8...light=cent+mod
with 60PSI I would say fuel seems, ok.

Great to hear that it worked out, I believe but am probable wrong, but I think the 02's have the updated gaskets. Never hurts to open it up and check.
