However, the Ranger, Bronco II, Aerostar, and later Explorer all used this pattern and were offered with fancy wheels. 2wd Rangers got 14", so they're out. 4wd Rangers and BII got 15", they should work, so long as the center hole will fit over the center of the hub. I think they will, but haven't tried it myself.
There was even a Ranger/BII alloy with the "Bulletholes" for the 4wd, in 15 x 7. My son in law has them on his 86 BII. Other than the smaller pattern, they look exactly like the wheels used on E150/F150/Bronco in the mid 80's and 90's.
Also, The ranger retained this same bolt pattern into the 2000's, but somewhere along the way the offset changed. Not sure how new you could go for ranger wheels that would fit.
Hope that helps. Now back to the topic at hand.

I won't quibble with anything you said, but you brought up even more options - the black vs red center medallion. Gee, this gets pretty complex if you consider the permutations of black or chrome center caps adorned with either black or red medallions.

I don't think there were any fancy wheels offered by Ford for the F100 with the 4.5" pattern.

The mustang (late model) 5 lug wheels do use the correct bolt pattern, but the offset is wrong. This question comes up a lot on another forum that is ranger oriented.
Using the later model mustang 5 lug wheels is doable, but requires a 1"-1.5" spacer.
Love the 5 spoke mustang wheels, and want something like them for my ranger clone B2300, but I won't use thick spacers to "make them fit".....
Sorry for the OT post again, just wanted to clarify a statement made previously in this thread.....

Yeah, and there are some aftermarket wheels that share a very similar design.
I just hate the idea of dropping $600-800 for wheels to go on a truck I paid $700 to buy...... Especially considering it had already been "upgraded" to 15 x 7 "deerhoof" alloy's from a 4wd ranger. Better than the 14 x 5.5 steelies it came with.

Yep, I paid $700 for my truck also. But, I've poured several thousand dollars into it - not including the $1k I'm going to have to put in the engine. So, I don't feel too bad having the aluminum wheels on it. Best looking part of the truck!

I've dropped some serious funds into the RX7, which I bought for $500 initially. Of course, I actually like that car, and want to fix it up.
This truck is just a cheap means of transportation. I'd get rid of it, but it has the best A/C of anything I have, and still gets almost 30 MPG. Of course, it won't pass anything BUT a gas station.........

I guess you can't have it both ways - pass gas stations but nothing else, or pass everything but gas stations. Oh wait, there's a 3rd way - won't hardly run so I don't drive it at all. Doesn't pass anything, inc gas stations.
