Anybody ever remove the entire dash? Not just the panels above & below the steering column, but the entire dash all the way across. It looks like the factory may have put it in attached to the duct work pieces as an assembly, due to some hidden fasteners...
Has anyone else done this?
Never mind. I just read your update to your thread on the dual drive truck. I wonder if some of it is screwed into place from the front side of the firewall.
That's what I was thinking, but someone on the '87 to '96 forum who's done this before answered my post there. The ductwork separates from the airbox, and comes out with the dash, with no fasteners through the firewall. I've wasted a lot of time trying to get the dash disconnected from the ductwork...
Ha well I did this in u pull there's like 30 screws they are all accessible the three hardest are the two on the side and one behind the glove box I ended up drilling out you will need to pull all molding cluster fuel and headlights switches radio climate control's glove box dash pad and doors might help be prepared for 5 hours of work and a lot of cursing
