misfires when warm

1993 E-150 misfires when warmed up under normal driving conditions worse when underload... goes away when engine cools until warm again? Confused?

Hi mark45840 and welcome to FTE

What all have you done so far to try to solve it? How old are the plug and wires? Is the distributor cap good? Rotor looks ok?

i had the exact sam prob in my 97 explorer 5.0 and i changed the plugs and it stoped and that was about a 2 weeks ago

everything has been replaced in the last year including, cap, rotor,wires,plugs, normal tune up stuff.. it started this condition suddly one day. I am going to check the coil today, will also make sure #7 wire is not causing #8 to fire early too. since they fire right after eachother. I guess i should also state that this is a 5.0 too. Thanks in advance for any advice! Mark...

could be the ignition control module. just a thought.

thanks for all the info... found the problem to be a loose plug wire on the # 4 plug, now runs like new again. If i only would have started there in the beginning..
