CFM for a 6.9

How much CFM from a fliter does a 6.9 need? I found canister filter intake that pulls 310 CFM is that to low for a 6.9?

Depends on the Volumetric efficiency really. Assuming you're talking N/A here, so at 100% VE and 3500RPM you're looking at 425.34CFM. However I would guess more typically the engines to probably run around 85-90% VE at best for N/A in which case you're looking at 361.55CFM at 85% VE and 382.81CFM at 90%VE. Turbocharged you can surpass 100% VE and will of course need more flow.

Short answer... yes I think 310CFM is a bit low
