coil springs
This is a 2 part question about my coil springs. My 68 feels very soft in the front end and it is more than shocks that it needs. It was originally a 240 I6 and now has a <a href="http://www.motorhaven.com/">351c </a>but retains the stock springs. I am wondering if the I6 springs may not be up to the task of carrying around the extra weight of the Cleveland. Did the I6 trucks have much different springs than the V8 trucks? The truck is a base, 2wd, short wheel base F100. The second part of my question is about using front coils off of a 69 Mach 1. My parts car Mach 1 has coils that are almost identical in demention to my F100 springs. They are beefier than the truck springs(69 competion small block Mach 1 springs). Can these be used on the truck? Would I encounter problems with these? Has anybody ever done this? Any input would be appreciated.
