I have a 98 f150sc with a factory alarm that has gone crazy. I can no longer lock the truck as the alarm will go off after 10 minutes or so of just sitting. Now the alarm is even going off when I dont set it, for no apparent reason.
Need to know the module location so I can disable it ASAP - last week it went off at 3:00am - my neighbor must really love me, not to mention my wife, and children who all were awokened abruptly for the second time in a month.
Anyone know where the thing is located

You can get a Ford (Helm) service CD off eBay for $6-12 and it will include the EVTM, which shows where every electrical device is on the truck and how it interacts with the rest of the wiring.

My Mark VIII has a tamper switch built into the ignition key cylinder that is known to be a problem with the alarm. The alarm does not have to be set to monitor the ignition key cylinder. It's possible that you may have the same problem.
