Ecoboost Mod
Like many here, I wasn't crazy about the front license plate on the EB. The off center plate didn't bother me a lot, but after taking a closer look and seeing that there were mounting holes in the center, I decided to move it. I used a license plate bracket from Amazon ($15), 2 "L" brackets and some assorted hardware. I got the left side bumper cover from PartsguyEd.

I'm not sure that I would want my plate hanging like that but it does clean up the bumper aspect quite nicely.
I just ordered a bumper grill for mine from Ebay for $35.xx + postage of $10.45. Comes with mounting hardware and mine is powder coated flat black.

There are two pre-drilled holes in the bumper that are there to support the OEM license plate bracket. I just used a couple of nuts and bolts trough those holes to mount the brackets.

I don't have the part number and it took some effort to find it. I called PartsGuyEd (a sponsor here) and he dug through the books to figure it out. IIRC it was about $38, which includes both sides.

I like the symmetrical look, but I'd be concerned with how quickly it'll be ripped off in that location. I'd like to see a shot from the side profile of just how far down and out the plate now hangs.

Looks good. Although I am wanting the EB license plate bracket for my 5.0 to put a winch in the middle.

For those of you with the ecoboost offset plate, would any of you be willing to sell it? Shoot me a PM. I have a 2010 FX4 and I actually want the off-set plate, I plan to put an LED light bar in the gap. Unfortunately in my state, we need to have the front plate.
