460 exaust

i have L+L longtube headers with cherry bombs.would 2 1/4 pipes be to small?or should i use 2 1/2 pipe

what size are the cherry bombs, what size is the outlet of each header, and are you plannin on runnin true duals, cross-over duals, x-pipe duals, two to one, 2-1-2, ect.?

a 2 1/2 inlet cherry bomb will fit over the collector.looking for the snap cackle pop !!!!but not be to restrictive and lose power!!!!have not bought the bombs yet.I want to know what is best!!!

big sound comes from big pipes. think of it like a tuba vs. a trumpet. small, short pipe=higher pitch. big, long pipe=low pitch. id say go 2.5 inch, and kick it out in front of the rear tires. i have 2.5 inch, true duals on my explorers 4.0 V6, and i get asked all the time if its a V8. and here is the 460 i used to have:

i think 2.5 inch exhaust will be best for what youre tryin to achieve.
