good morning folks
i am new to ford and diesel trucks so im quite stupid about somethings
i bought a 2005 f250 with 120000 miles on it.i hope i didnt go wrong lol
it seems perfect and the oasis and carfax were both clean
i owned a nissan titan for the past 2 yrs and towed a 34' travel trailer weighing 8500 emty.the titan pulled it fine for the most part except the long steep hills near me but the 7 mpg killed me
when i first start my truck in the am it seems louder to me and takes a couple miles to quiet down.normal?
is it just the turbo not opening up till warm?
how bad is that in the winter?
thanks for any help
Robert

Welcome to FTE. Go to the 6.0 section a little further down when you have a chance and learn as much as you can on it. Diesels require alot more maintenance also which you learnto do easily yourself.
thanks guys so much
another question
i have rthe hubs that say locked and auto
i read the owners manual and its clear as mud on this
seems im not in 4wd if in auto
only in locked position
is this right?
When you put it in Auto you Are in FWD. I have never locked my hubs manually, but then again I don't off road. Just snow and taking my truck back up the hill when I take something down to the lake.....
