Been away for another little trip. WOW, I am begining to like just picking up and going where I want, when I want.
I have a job interview coming up with the State. It sounds quite interesting. The last interview did not pan out. They said I was over-qualified for the job. Now that is a nice ring, over-qualified. What they really meant was that due to the government quotas, me being a caucasion disqualified me. So, I guess I was really over-qualified. HAHAHA What a bunch of BS. Yeah Tim, I am keeping it clean or trying to. LOL.
Hope everyone had a great Forth of July. I did, Tennesee is beautiful, especially when you are not rushed and do not have to meet someone else's schedule. I just had to do the Dixie Stampede again, just for the food. I was disapointed because Big ***** was not at Dolly World, but you can't always have it your way.
I visited with an old friend that I had not seen for a while, like almost 40 years. Sitting on his back porch drinking Crown from the bottle brought back a lot of memories, some good, some painful and one that really hurt. What they say it is true, I found that out talking with Mark, you really never get over your first love. He talked me into picking up the old Strat. I tried, crushed old fingers do not work like a teenagers. Got to be able to finger those frets. But I did discover I can still do a rythem <sic> as long as it is simple. I really hadn't tried to do that since 1989 when I crushed my left hand and wrist.
Well, as Eric Clapton said, it is time to nurse this aching head. Yeah, a damn hangover. I have not had one of those in many years. Not used to having that much booze. Sure was glad that Connie was with me for the drive home that I do not remember. I guess I was a good passenger. I could not constantly ask "Are we there yet?" The back seat of Vickie (Crown Vic) is quite comfortable I guess. She said I did not say one word on the trip back. I was out cold in the back seat. OOOOWWWW, this head hurts, like real bad. LOL Well, gotta go.
Lets get ready for the interview. I have never been to one. It starts at 1 PM. I am nervous as a cat walking on a hot tin roof sheeting razoor blades. How is that for a visual. LOL
