I have been thinking of seeing if anyone here has put the adjustable pedal assemblies in there truck. I drove a Excursion with them and what a nice option.
To be honest I am 6'6" and with my long legs I still need to be close to the dash to make sure I can depress the clutch in all the way. Being able to move the pedals out so Im not cramped would be awesome.
I did a ebay search and no pedal assemblies were there, but the switches and some of the other parts were.
Thanks,
They are only a useful feature if you are a short woman. I have them in my truck and my wife used them until they stopped working right. They will come forward with no problem, but when you go to move them back, the brake pedal will stay in the forward position, while the accelerator will move back. The brake pedal will move if you hold the switch and use your hand to push the pedal back. I hate things that don't work correctly, so this bothers me even though I don't use it, but I haven't tackled this one as it looks like it would be expensive.
The adjustable pedals in my '02 F350 are getting sketchy too. They work when they want to. Every time my son touches the switch I'm afraid the pedals are going to be stuck wherever he puts them. FWIW.
