I've got an odd problem. I need a new wiring harness or at least the connecter for the ICP. I got a 1212 code the other day and realized I'd gotten the harness wet (with biodiesel) when changing out the fuel filter. Now the wiring is bare as the B100 ate the rubber coating and seal in the plug at the ICP. Truck still runs fine, but the CEL is always on and I'm still getting a 1280 code after playing and trying to reseal the harness and plug.
Long story short, where can I get a new harness?
Mines been completly re-done due to a ... mistake like yours.
You can pull the harness, and pull the pins outa the main connector and slip heat shrink down it.
After i heat shrinked it, I pulled the wires away from eachother and RTV'ed in the connector, than redid the whole harness with shrink wrap pieces to make it pretty, then new wireloom.
Pete showed me this: Ford F250 6.0 7.3 ICP Sensor Connector Kit 5C3Z-12224-A | eBay
But I got one from the junk yard. I unplugged it and plugged it back in and I haven't had any problems since. (I think it the connector is bad somewhere) I will replace it when I get a chance (stuck on the side of the road, lol)
OH, I had no idea where Harding MB was (I didn't even know it was in Cananananada!) so I ggogled it harding mb - Google Maps Thats where the 259 comment came from. Looks like good fishing to the west
29 bucks is certainly better than $60. I'll see about hitting the wreckers when I go through the city on the weekend. Otherwise, Talyn's fix should do for now. Thanks guys.
And yes Ian, I'm from the far north.
