Throtle...fix?

Ive been having problems with my throttle pedal and scanned it and the cel said tp low circuit. I didnt wanna go through ford and pay 826 bucks for another adjustable pedal assembly so i got the non adjusting one hoping it would work. I finally got some time to work on it and as i was taking it apart i pulled the wiring harness down and it urns out the harness was tucked very nicely against the steering column. I pulled down the harness and two of the wires had a mark where they have been rubbing and bare wire was touching the metal column. Took it all apart and wraped all the wires individually and ziptied them up out of the way. The truck hasnt acted up since so hopefully this was the problem and i got lucky

Just curious.. what is actually moving in the steering column to cause the rubbing.. Is it the steering shaft ? Or is it the tilt steering option, up and down movement.. ?

What was the problem or symptoms that you were having with the pedal ?? I have an adjustable pedal too and never really liked the response I get when I step on the pedal !!

It was actually the u joint on the steering shaft that it rubbed on. And drving normally it woul cut out and die and sometimes throw the cel on. The adjustable pedals have an extended wiring harness so the extra wire needs a place to go. Id double check your for sure!
