wrong fuel question

Since you fellers are some of the most knowlegable diesel guys around......My IDIOT soon to be former employee decided that diesel should go in the 13hp honda on one of my powerwashers. It ran apparently real loud for about 15min when the second idiot decided to shut it off because it didnt sound right. (extreamly loud) After draining the tank and the fuel bowl it was refilled with gas. It wouldnt start, the cord was pulled 5 or 6 times and then it acted like it siezed. Im guessing its hydro locked? I hope, any advice Im not real good with motors overall and not sure I want to tear this one apart.

Pull the sparkplugs and see if it turns over.

There should be no damage unless something else happened.

Check to see if the pump is seized --- from over rev.

If the pump is good.

New spark plug.

Drain more fuel if you can from carb.

Thanks and thanks for the board prior to being on here I would have never thought about hydro lock. I would have just droped 500 on a new motor and bolted it on.

Diesel mixed with gas would be like using a small volume of gas mixed with an non-combustable oil.

The oil is not volatile enough to burn --- so the motor reved up to make up for lack of power.

See problem?

Is the Honda engine a 2-stoke or four? Either way the plug is fouled or on it's way and you may need to simply flush the system with gasoline.
