firing order
when converting a stock 5.0 firing order 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8 to HO or even 5.8 firing order 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8 say in an engine swap. can you get away with just rerouting spark-plug wires off of the distributor or is it more involved than that.

If it's a bank-fire engine such as the truck speed density EFI system, then using an HO or a 351 cam and changing spark plug wires is all that has to be done. If it's sequential EFI, then you'll have to change the injector order to match the firing order.
