Tips on buying Bronco
I want to be better informed before buying, as I am sure you guys understand...
BDV
80-86 is what I like to work with, I like the body style more than the later models. I have bought an 83 for 2 grand in decent to fair shape with the 351w. And my latest one for $2800 in like show room floor shape with the 302. They all range in price depending on age, shape, engine size, and mods done. Lift kit over bored engines, ect. You should look for rust around the bottom of tailgate rain gutter cracks above the door, and sometimes fenders. The two engines offered for 80 and up are 302 and 351w. If you want plenty of power and not worried about gas usage you should go with the 351w. If you want some power, and good gas mileage the 302 is nice to have. My 302 gets about 12MPG in the city and around15 on the highway. My old 351w got about 10MPG on the highway, and probly 8 in the city.
That should be enought for now. Others may be able to get more detailed than this.
Good Luck
