shifter sparking?
so i was workin on the ford today a 86 f150 with the 300 and i adjusted the timing and the carb. i noticed the alt. belt was wearing so i replaced it. but now when the truck is idleing all my lights and radio shutter like the juice is cutting out and i noticed an electrical arking between the shifter and the floor pan please help

Since the last change made was at the alternator area, my guess is some wires are being abraded by a fan belt or pulley or sumthin' similar and you've created a short circuit.
