No Spark!

Just decided to put the timing up a few degrees so I got a timing light and detached the black vacuum advance wire; then I started it to make sure it would start and it did. Then loosened the distributor and then tried starting it (to time it)
NOTHING
So I I checked all wires, plugged the vacuum advance back in and I checked and my solenoid is getting power to it, but nothing coming out...
The distributor isn't sparking our anything and I tested the wires going into it... Could this be the ICM? It sounds like it wants to start but no fire.

Back up........re-trace your work, something you did has affected it.
Be sure the plug to the TFI ign. module on the dist. is completely plugged in.

Or better yet, Duraspark it now!

ICM= TFI module?

Anyhow. I think it went out. Is there a way to test it?
Everything is wired snug and I tried pushing all the plug pigtails in as much as possible.
Is the TFI Module expensive? Could it be a fusible link or a relay?

TFI module is about $35..........but, I bet its not whats wrong.

Cause and effect: Everything was working fine before you started, something has been effected..........look for a shorted or broken wire, the thing is 27 years old......things can give out from age after being handled.

Gonna definitely DuraSpark it. Just when I get the money to do it... That is a big thing. All my wiring is literally decaying; I wish I could kinda round up the parts here and there, but I don't know where to get started. I need to make a list, let me know if I am missing something, please?

Accell or MSD coil: ~ $30
Distributor-$86.49 ... Got one for $50 local
Distributor Cap Adapter-$10.99
Distributor Cap-$10.49
Distributor/coil harness<<< Don't know where to get this
Rotor-$3.49
Duraspark II Ignition Module$29.99
ECM Harness Connector $21.49! holy cow!

Vacuum Switch?<<<< Do I need this?
