8 foot bed alert!!!!!

What a sad day at the junkyard today, somebody "donated their grandpas 100% bone stock original 1978/9 F-150.
This truck is like a turn back in time, aluminum camper shell that has preserved the bed so it looks like it was built yesterday perfect inside and out NO RUST ANYWHERE straight as an arrow tailgate that shuts like a new truck. Both doors are straight and rust free with perfect tan door panels. The dash pad is brown and flawless as is the rubber floor mat and seat. Popped up the rust free hood and there sits a 351m unmolested with the air cleaner intact including the fresh air horn to the radiator support as well as the duct work to the exhaust manifold. Windshield washer box still had wiper fluid and every belt, bracket nut and bolt was were it belonged under that hood. I went back up front and the guy at the counter says "this will make you cry" WE DROVE IT OFF THE WRECKER!!!!!!!!!

Now heres the kicker they will sell the whole truck as "parts" without a title for $1,500 (seems steep but it's in perfect shape) or the bed and tailgate removed from truck and placed on a trailor for $650.
Passing this on to you all and will help if I can.
Forgot to mention the truck is an Automatic, P.S. with air, 2wd

Grandpa is turning in his grave!! He kept it up so well just to have his grandson/daughter send it to the crusher...tragic. I hope someone saves it. The price would be GREAT around here, almost unheard of in other places for a rust free, well maintained, original. Some people...

More and more are being sent to the crushers just the other day these shady lookin dudes came to my house inquiring about a couple of dents and bumps I have. Claiming they "wanted to help troubled kids restore them." Nice sob story but they were in a clapped out chebby with four different rims.

Hey fellas got all of your PM's this am and wanted to let you'all know that after a miserable day after seeing that truck sit there and talking to my neighbor who now is a converted Ford lover seeing my finished truck he's gonna buy it and use it for a weekend toy.
So another one saved!!!!! But if something changes I'll keep ya posted.
Says he doesn't like the color yellow yet he just sold his 06 YELLOW charger. told him he couldn't paint this truck. I'll post up some pics of it at the yard and his house you wont believe this truck.

I can't even stand to see the rusty one's in the junk yard, let alone the one's that dont belong there. I always ask those trucks"what are you doing here"

Glad to see it found a home.
